Family of woman who died while playing slot machines sues Wynn Las Vegas
The family of a woman who collapsed and later died while playing a Wynn slot machine in Las Vegas is suing the casino resort, saying it failed to "reasonably assess" her need for emergency medical care.
Last February 13, 74-year-old Billie Sakkab collapsed while playing a slot machine alone at a Super Bowl party at Wynn, according to a lawsuit obtained by the Las Vegas Review-Journal and first published. .
Sakab went into cardiac arrest because Wynn employees didn't respond quickly enough to use a portable automated external defibrillator. That's what trial attorney Christian Morris filed Dec. 5 in Clark County District Court on behalf of Sakkab's widower, Nabil Y. Sakkab Sr., and three other family survivors.
