F1 Parking at Fashion Show Mall to Cost Between $40 and $75

During the Formula 1 Las Vegas Grand Prix on November 16-18, the Fashion Show Mall will charge between $40 and $75 for parking. This fee can be avoided by spending at least $100 within the mall.

Typically, parking at the Fashion Show Mall is complimentary. But starting on November 16, ACE Parking will demand $40 for each vehicle wishing to enter their parking lot, situated behind the mall. The fee jumps to $75 on November 17 and the race day, November 18.

If visitors present receipts indicating they have spent $100 across the property before 5 p.m., an attendant will reimburse the parking fee. Notable stores at this upscale mall include Neiman Marcus, Nordstrom, and Saks Fifth Avenue.

Receipts from any of the in-mall dining establishments located on the Strip will also suffice for a refund, as shared by property manager Brookfield Properties. The statement mentioned that "those who are not interested in shopping, want to visit the Strip for the inaugural event in some capacity, ensure they have a convenient place to park, and want to avoid much of the congestion given the track layout and Fashion Show’s placement on the track, can purchase parking in advance with links on the fslv.com website."

Stroll in the Park

The public's reaction to this announcement on social media did not elicit many significant reactions. A few responses were inevitably indignant. Most people, though, seemed to have foreseen it and even vindicated the mall's stance.

"They have to," said @Mic_VegasSphere in response to a tweet disclosing the news from @LasVegasLocally. "Here's why. If they don't, the parking will be filled up with individuals parking for free for F1 and nobody will be able to go shop at the mall. They want the mall for shoppers, not F1 visitors. If you're going to shop that day, you're likely to spend $100 on whatever items anyway."

@Havein voiced their view as well: "I don't blame the mall on this one. It's not a permanent policy, just for individuals parking there but not intending to go to the mall."
