Biking: Conquer the road with wheels and paddle power - Expert bicycle racers participate in the Eschborn-Frankfurt race.
A group of cyclists from Germany, including Nils Politt and John Degenkolb, are hoping to score their first home victory in half a decade at the Eschborn-Frankfurt classic on Wednesday. Attaining this goal won't be a walk in the park, as they'll have to contend with other formidable contenders. These include last year's winner Sören Kragh Andersen from Denmark and Alexander Kristoff, who has won the classic four times.
Degenkolb, a local star, had been uncertain regarding his participation due to knee issues. However, he stunned everyone a few days ago by confirming his attendance on Instagram. Since then, the veteran has generated a lot of excitement among fans. In 2019, race victory was secured by Pascal Ackermann, a renowned sprinter, who will also be competing this time around.
