Excavator Stuck on Highway Bridge, Causes Long-Lasting Closure
An accident on Federal highway 39 involving an excavator and a low-loader tore the machine partially off its transportation platform. The bridge sustained damages worth 20,000 to 30,000 euros, while repair costs for the excavator and low-loader were estimated at around 100,000 euros. Thankfully, no injuries were reported. A structural engineer inspected and organized repair efforts, causing the highway to be shut down until Saturday.
