Farewell, Ballermann! - Ex-boyfriend of Melanie Müller starts a beach bar at a gravel site.
The local newspaper LVZ announces that Mike Blümer's new beach bar "Strandklause" will open on Pentecost Saturday. He admitted to the paper, "My days in Mallorca and as a music manager are now behind me."
The beach bar will be more intimate than his previous venture with ex-wife Melanie Müller at Ballermann. Snacks like chips cost 3.50 euros, currywurst 4 euros, draught beer 3 euros, and there's also ice cream, coffee, and a daily changing lunch menu.
Mike's girlfriend Katharina Kahmann, known from "Schwiegertochter gesucht," has experience in the food industry and manages the new beach oasis with awnings and a wooden terrace. Together, they're building it themselves.
The couple has a caravan by the lake. Their blended family consists of four children and a dog. They prefer this peaceful location over their home at Lake Cospuden in Leipzig, which is more crowded.
Before his relationship with Melanie (separated in 2021), Mike managed "Russendisko" in Leipzig.
No More Ballermann
"Strandklause" will be open daily from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m., extending hours for campers on weekends. Blümer aims to leave the past behind him and focus on a calmer family life. He hopes to avoid the drama he experienced with Melanie. But with Melanie still making headlines for her scandals, it's difficult for Mike to distance himself.
Mallorcan singers won't perform at "Strandklause," and it won't be a Spanish cocktail bar like the notorious "Ballermann."
