Sharpshooters and canine explosives detectors! No bags allowed for spectators! - ESC final evolves into a security stronghold!

The trigger: the escalating animosity towards Israel in the city. Huge protests against Israel's involvement in the Eurovision Song Contest have been occurring for days, with around 40,000 participants, including climate activist Greta Thunberg.

Israeli performer Eden Golan (20) is facing threats of death, has to stay at an undisclosed hotel, and is only permitted to leave for rehearsals and performances. She has a police escort of about 100 officers when heading to the Malmö Arena. Sniper positions are also placed on the roofs near the venue.

The individuals responsible have not disclosed the number of police officers who will be utilized.

Stringent security measures for concertgoers!

Bomb-sniffing dogs search every vehicle driving to the arena

Attendees at the event should anticipate rigid restrictions. Absolutely no bags, not even small waist packs, are permitted in the arena!

ESC fans have to wait in long lines at the security checkpoint while a man walks next to them to an anti-Israel demonstration

The lone exemption to this stringent security measure: individuals who require medication.

We can only hope for tranquility during the Eurovision Song Contest finale.
