Demotion - Enochs, Jahn's coach, remains hopeful for promotion despite a 2:2 draw.

In a recent announcement, coach Joe Enochs of Regensburg expressed his team's intentions to put up a fierce fight against SV Wehen Wiesbaden during the second leg of the relegation round. This will take place after the first highly intense clash. Enochs, a US-American, promised a "hot game" for the upcoming third-division match taking place on Tuesday at 8:30 PM, which will be aired on Sat.1 and Sky. The Regensburg team is hoping to avoid relegation from the second division.

Following an equalizing goal by attacker Dominik Kother in the 80th minute that tied the match 2-2 (1-0), Enochs stated that their desire for promotion had only grown stronger and that the team was capable of keeping up with Wehen Wiesbaden due to their performance in the first half. Despite Wehen Wiesbaden being the better team during the entire game, playing in front of 13,378 spectators, they led at the interval.

In the second half, after three changes, Robin Heußer and John Iredale brought about a turnaround. This was followed by Kother's decisive goal in the 80th minute, scored with his weaker left foot into the far corner. "It felt amazing!" Kother stated, expressing his excitement about the "vital goal." He was eager to continue the attack and stated, "Now we face the final in Wiesbaden."

Nils Döring, the interim coach, will be returning to the sidelines for the home team. He expressed his joy at being back, stating, "Being a passive spectator in Regensburg was a very unfamiliar experience, I can think of better things." Döring anticipates another intense relegation experience and believes it might even go to a penalty shootout. He concluded, "This will be a knife's edge match."
