YouTube personalities MrBeast and Mark Rober team up for their largest fundraiser yet, titled TeamWater, inviting over 3,000 creators to join forces and aiming to generate a staggering $40 million for clean water projects.

In an ambitious effort to address the global water crisis, YouTube creators MrBeast and Mark Rober have launched the #TeamWater campaign. The initiative, which started on August 1, 2025, aims to raise $40 million to provide clean water access to 2 million people worldwide for decades.

The campaign involves a massive collaboration of online creators, with a combined audience of about 2 billion subscribers, encouraging viewers to donate and share water-themed content to drive awareness. This creator-led crowdfunding effort is building on the success of past initiatives like #TeamTrees and #TeamSeas, which raised over $50 million for tree planting and ocean cleanup respectively.

The funds raised through the #TeamWater campaign will be donated to WaterAid, an international organization dedicated to providing access to clean water and good hygiene. WaterAid, founded in the U.K. in 1981, today works with partners to provide clean water in 22 countries. The funds will primarily support WaterAid's water quality projects, focusing on sustainable water infrastructure like solar-powered wells and rainwater harvesting systems.

The collaboration includes over 3,000 creators worldwide with a combined reach of over 3 billion followers. In addition to MrBeast and Mark Rober, other participants in the campaign include Kai Cenat, Nick DiGiovanni, Gordon Ramsay, Hank Green, Fede Vigevani, and the Stokes Twins.

YouTube has pledged to give $2 million in matching funds to TeamWater, adding to the campaign's momentum. The funds will be used for long-term, sustainable water solutions, including solar-powered wells and gravity-fed pipelines, targeting areas with unsafe water access.

The campaign's structure and messaging indicate significant momentum, with work already underway on Season 2 of "Beast Games", a reality-competition series produced and hosted by MrBeast. The show, greenlit for two more seasons by Amazon, is expected to be bigger and more spectacular.

Kelly Parsons, CEO of WaterAid America, stated that the campaign pairs the power of content creators with WaterAid's on-the-ground experience to tackle the global water crisis. The goal is not just to raise awareness but to build new generations of advocacy and sustainable change.

As of early August 2025, the campaign is actively ongoing, with creators producing authentic content ranging from serious explainer videos to entertaining challenges to motivate donations. The funds are expected to have a lasting impact, providing clean water to millions of people worldwide for decades.
