"Youth culture's vibrant nightlife in Duisburg: 'frequency25'"

On the weekend of September 27 to 29, North Rhine-Westphalia is set to witness a vibrant celebration of youth culture with the "nachtfrequenz25 - Night of Youth Culture". This event, happening across over 160 locations throughout the region with over 100 participating cities and communities, aims to foster creativity, strengthen talents, and make community tangible.

The event kicks off on Saturday, September 27, from 10 am to 4 pm at the Emscherhalle in Landschaftspark Duisburg-Nord. Here, a DJ will provide music, catering will be available, and graffiti workshops will be held, teaching the basics of spray painting and providing initial experiences. Freestyle graffiti competitions will also take place.

In the afternoon, a creative collage workshop on social media, digital spaces, and online presence will take place at Jugendzentrum Sunny on Mündelheimer Straße 117 in Hüttenheim. This workshop will continue on Sunday, September 28, from 10 am to 4 pm.

On the same day, from 4 pm to 8:30 pm, and Monday, September 29, from 4 pm to 9 pm, a hip-hop workshop with local rapper Milo will take place at Jugendzentrum Vari on Universitätsstraße 40. Here, youth can learn basic rap techniques, write their own lyrics, and record their own song in the studio.

Saturday evening, from 6 pm to 12 am, the Soziokulturelles Zentrum Stapeltor will host the "Show Your Performance" open stage event, inviting young talents to showcase their skills live on stage. Meanwhile, the "Soundclash" event, featuring various music styles and opportunities for stage experience, will take place at the RiZ-Regionalzentrum Nord on Marienstraße 16a in Marxloh from 7 pm to 12 am.

Throughout the weekend, hundreds of project ideas developed by the youth will be presented at the various locations throughout NRW. The event is organized by youth in collaboration with artists, social workers, and cultural creators.
