Federal Police Arrest Wanted Individual in Magdeburg

A 21-year-old individual was arrested by the Federal Police in Magdeburg on August 29, 2025, following an outstanding arrest warrant issued by the Public Prosecutor's Office in Dessau-Roßlau on July 29, 2025.

The arrest took place at Magdeburg Buckau station, with a responding patrol supporting the operation. The individual had failed to pay a fine of 780 euros, which led to the issuance of the arrest warrant.

The warrant was based on a prior conviction by the Amtsgericht Köthen for negligent driving without a license, negligent bodily injury, and violation of mandatory insurance law. The individual had initially been sentenced to a fine of 1,500 euros or 50 days of imprisonment by the district court of Köthen in December 2023. However, the individual paid part of the imposed amount but did not fully pay or serve the sentence, resulting in the issuance of a detention warrant.

After completing the necessary procedures, the arrested person was taken to a penal institution. The Federal Police Inspectorate Magdeburg, the source of the information, can be contacted at +49 (0) 391-56549-505 or via email at [email protected]. The information was transmitted via news aktuell. The notifying authority was informed of the execution of the arrest warrant. The individual attempted to evade police measures and resisted, requiring handcuffs during the arrest.

This arrest serves as a reminder of the importance of adhering to the law and fulfilling one's legal obligations. The Federal Police will continue to work diligently to ensure that those who break the law are held accountable for their actions.
