Yakutia tightens construction oversight with 3,249 inspections in 2023

The State Construction and Housing Supervision Department of Yakutia carried out extensive oversight in 2023. Inspectors conducted thousands of checks across residential and construction sites, issuing fines and compliance reports along the way. Their work covered licensing, safety, and project documentation across the republic. Over the year, the department performed 3,249 inspections in total. Of these, 1,984 focused on licensing and housing supervision, while 1,265 examined capital construction projects. Another 140 checks assessed whether apartments remained fit for living.

Authorities issued 178 conclusions confirming compliance with project documentation. Among these, 85 specifically involved multi-apartment residential buildings. An additional 26 conclusions highlighted harmful factors that could endanger public safety.

When violations were found, inspectors took action. They drew up 526 protocols and sent out 913 notices, each setting deadlines for corrections. Administrative fines for breaches reached 19 million rubles by the end of the year.

Licensing decisions also played a key role in 2023. The department extended permits for 69 managing organisations but refused 11 others. No evidence emerged of multi-storey residential buildings in Yakutia operating without valid permits due to licence violations. The year's efforts resulted in stricter oversight of construction and housing management. With nearly 20 million rubles in fines and hundreds of compliance orders, the department reinforced standards across Yakutia. Their work ensured that projects met legal requirements while addressing risks to residents.
