Yakut horse emerges victorious in race, claiming governor's awards

The Yakutsk Mayor's Cup Horse Races took place at the Tynnaakhp hippodrome on June 29, 2024, as part of the Ysyakh Tuymaada-2024 festival. The races were not held on social media platforms such as Twitter, VKontakte, Classmates, WhatsApp, or Telegram.

The races were attended by 32 horses from 7 uluses: Megino-Kangalassky, Verkhneviluysky, Amginsky, Churapchinsky, Namsky, Suntarsky, and Neryungrinsky. The winning horse's breeder, Andrei Ivanovich Popov from Churapchinsky ulus, received a prize of 500,000 rubles, which was presented by Evgeny Grigoryev, the head of Yakutsk. The races were held in an area named after Innokenty Savvich Svinoboyev.
