The guests of the VII Yakut International Film Festival had a memorable experience at the Ysyakh Tuymaada festival in Ust Khaya on June 29.

The day began with the opening ceremony of the national holiday, where people came in national costumes, creating a vibrant and colourful atmosphere. The guests were treated to a feast of Yakutian delicacies, including six cauldrons of meat, byppaha, kumys, harata, suobai, salted, and smoked fish.

One of the festival's distinguished guests, Alexei Permyakov, shared his impressions. He was amazed by the scale of the festival and the respect for traditions. The scriptwriter, producer, and main competition jury member of the festival was particularly moved by the purification and blessing rituals, Algyys, and the patient queues for the rituals, where everyone was polite and happy.

During the festival, there were quizzes and competitions where the guests amazed the host Ruslan Ochirov with their quick solutions to musical clips from movies. The stage artists, particularly Georgy Sleptcov-Chagylkhan, impressed the guests with their performances.

Alexei Permyakov also visited blacksmiths and saw many amazing things. Despite getting sunburnt and having sore legs by evening, he had a wonderful day. The atmosphere was festive, with Cossack songs being sung and Chukotka dances (northern) performed.

The jury of the main competition at the VII International Film Festival of Yakutia was chaired by Pyotr Todorovsky. Alexei Egorov, the company director, conducted a welcoming ritual for the guests at the "Sakhafilm" venue.

Overall, the guests had a unique and unforgettable experience at the Ysyakh Tuymaada festival, immersing themselves in the rich Yakutian culture and traditions.
