Xenon Automation Technology Expands with New Production Hall in Dresden

Xenon Automation Technology, a leading manufacturer of automated production systems, is set to expand its operations with the construction of a new production hall in Dresden. The investment of 3.5 million Euros aims to improve logistics at the Dresden site and halve the company's logistics effort, according to Sebastian Popp, Director of Production and Purchasing.

The new production facility, designed by architectural firm XYZ Architects, has been in the works for the past four years. Xenon has continuously purchased and developed assembly space in the Coschütz-Gittersee industrial area since 1994.

The integrated layer correction in Xenon's fuel cell stack assembly ensures automatic alignment of individual components for optimal fit and functionality. This innovative assembly process, developed in collaboration with Sunfire, is a testament to Xenon's commitment to technological advancement.

In 2024, Xenon achieved a record turnover of 88 million euros, a significant achievement in a competitive environment. Managing Director Tobias Reissmann emphasised the necessity for Xenon to become more productive and efficient to maintain this success.

Xenon's resilience is attributed to its international setup and diversified focus on various industries and future technologies. The company has around 325 employees at its Dresden site, 90 in China, and 55 in Mexico. Xenon's overseas sites in China and Mexico are growing rapidly, serving customers overseas in service, development, and production.

The company supplies customers from various industries worldwide, including those focused on renewable energy expansion and autonomous driving. Xenon's future technology focus aligns with these industries, with plans to develop electronic components for renewable energy expansion and sensors for autonomous driving.

Shorter delivery routes and higher efficiency are the key goals of the new production hall. Xenon's new production hall in Dresden is a clear vote of confidence in the Dresden region and its potential for continued growth and innovation. The construction of the new facility is expected to contribute to Xenon's ongoing success and its position as a leading manufacturer of automated production systems.
