Wreck: Vehicle Flips in Mishap - Driver Abandons Scene

The accident involved a Mercedes and a Mazda. The Mercedes, after colliding with the Mazda, overturned and landed on its roof. The driver of the Mercedes fled the scene, leaving behind three uninjured teenagers in the Mercedes. The identity and current whereabouts of the Mercedes driver remain unknown.
The Mazda driver, a 63-year-old man, was transported to the University Hospital of Düsseldorf for treatment. The hospital has confirmed his condition as stable. The three teenagers were not injured in the accident.
A machete was found inside the overturned Mercedes and seized by the police. The machete is currently being analysed for forensic evidence. The police are investigating the possibility of the Mercedes driver being under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
The specialized traffic crimes unit from Police Directorate 2 (West) is handling the ongoing investigation, seeking witnesses to the accident. The name of the police department head of the special division for street crimes from Police Directorate 2, who is currently overseeing the investigation, is not publicly available.
