Worldwide expansion: 47 lawyers promoted to partner and director positions on our site

Global law firm XYZ has announced 47 lawyer promotions to partner and director positions, effective January 1, 2021. The promotions span 11 practice groups, recognising the exceptional work and dedication of these lawyers.

In Australia, Rajaee Rouhani was promoted to risk advisory in Melbourne, and Reneé Loiselle was promoted to corporate, M&A and securities in Montréal. In Canada, Noah Schein, Michael Manhas, Laila Paszti, Katie Van Dyk, and Kate Findlay were promoted to various positions in banking and finance, litigation and disputes, corporate, M&A and securities, and real estate. In the United States, Sumera Khan was promoted to litigation and disputes in Houston, and Alexandra Shields was promoted to employment and labor in Sydney.

Across the Atlantic, Julia Lloyd was promoted to tax in London, and Sarah Lucey was promoted to risk advisory/compliance in the same city. In Amsterdam, Joris Ravelli was promoted to banking and finance, and in Paris, Alexandre Roth was promoted to banking and finance.

In the United Kingdom, Andrew Williams, Kirstin Russell, and William Nicholson were promoted to banking and finance, litigation and disputes, and projects, respectively. In Dubai, Angela Croker was promoted to banking and finance. In Hong Kong, Kevin Hong was promoted to litigation and disputes, and Nicholas Wilson was promoted to corporate, M&A and securities.

In South Africa, Carol Holness was promoted to litigation and disputes in Durban, and Lawyers in South Africa were promoted to directors. Bryce Perrett was promoted to litigation and disputes in Durban, and Natalie Keetsi was promoted to partner in litigation and disputes at the Johannesburg office. In addition, Ugendran Odayar was promoted to corporate, M&A and securities in Durban.

In the United Arab Emirates, Angela Croker was promoted to banking and finance in Dubai. In Singapore, Katie Chung was promoted to litigation and disputes. In San Antonio, Jay Edward Slovacek Greathouse was promoted to corporate, M&A and securities/healthcare transactions. In San Francisco, Mary Kimura was promoted to banking and finance/public finance.

In New York, Adrienne Sebring was promoted to banking and finance/corporate finance, and Craig Oliver was promoted to corporate, M&A and securities. In Toronto, Steven Choi was promoted to real estate/construction and engineering, and in Houston, Utsav Mathur was promoted to litigation and disputes/energy and infrastructure.

In Ottawa, Heather Cameron was promoted to employment and labor. In Sydney, Steven Choi was promoted to real estate/construction and engineering, and William Nicholson was promoted to projects. In Austin, Katie Van Dyk was promoted to real estate.

Interestingly, 25 female lawyers were promoted globally, representing 53 percent of the promotions. This includes Laila Paszti, who was promoted to corporate, M&A and securities/data protection, privacy and cybersecurity in Toronto, and Liza Volpiana, who was promoted to real estate in Vancouver.
