World's First AR Online Casino Games Launch with XR Technology

An international edtech firm specializing in tailoring virtual and augmented reality (VR & AR) training platforms for emerging markets has officially launched the world's first AR online casino games powered by its proprietary extended reality (XR) technology.

In a Tuesday news release, XR Global stated the games, powered by its proprietary XR technology, were live across iOS, Android, and the Immersive Web.

According to the firm, the rollout of XR Casino delivers "a next-generation gaming experience" that outstrips traditional 2D iCasino platforms. XR Casino players will find slots, crash, roulette, and blackjack games "in a real-world environment."

New gaming experiences

Dan Martinez, CEO of the privately held startup co-founded by Bryan Crosswhite and Natalie Miller, said that his firm is redefining what online gaming looks and feels like.

realism and immersion previously only possible in physical casinos or high-end VR setups

The XR Casino website shows gameplay situations on a beach, at a bar, and more, with the release stating users can place games on their tables, walk around them, interact with live elements, and experience a level of realism and immersion previously only possible in physical casinos or high-end VR setups.

Martinez summed up XR Casino's launch as bridging the gap between physical and digital entertainment by bringing casino experiences into players' real-world environments. According to the news release, the AR's immersive casino experience is designed to boost player session times and deepen emotional connection.

B2B and beyond

While launching XR Casino direct to players, the firm is also promoting itself to operators, and has plans to license its XR-enabled gaming portfolio globally.

XR Global stated the license will allow it to offer B2B services to online, social, and sweepstakes casinos operators seeking to merge immersive gaming into their existing platforms and attract players seeking more interactive and engaging experiences.
