Workshop blaze erupts on furniture store property
Fire at Roller Company Grounds in Dortmund Contained
A fire broke out at the Roller company grounds in Dortmund early this morning, with the Dortmund Fire Department quickly responding to the scene. The fire, which started around 1:33 AM, was initially reported through the front window of an old workshop on the premises, where flames were already visible.
Upon arrival, approximately 25 personnel from Fire Stations 3 (Asseln), 4 (Horde), the 11th fire truck (SΓΆlde), and the rescue service were involved in the operation. A team of firefighters entered the building wearing breathing apparatus to fight the fire. To contain the fire and prevent its spread, the fire department used a hydraulic spreader to force open other doors. However, further details about this action were not provided in the follow-up report.
The fire was successfully contained to the room of origin within the workshop. For follow-up operations, the debris was removed from the workshop and checked for hotspots. The turntable ladder with a thermal imaging camera was positioned above the workshop to monitor the roof, although this information was not mentioned in the follow-up report.
No further details about injuries or damage were provided in either the initial or follow-up reports. The investigation into the cause of the fire has been taken over by the police, as the fire department could provide no information on the cause. The police are currently investigating the incident.
