Witnessing Two Decades of China's Environmental Transformation: The Perspective of Local Practitioners Under the 'Two Mountains' Initiative, Transforming Barren Mines into Lush Green Hillsides
In a recent article, one of the new generation practitioners, Pan Wenge, has been highlighted for his contributions. While the names of other new generation practitioners remain unspecified, their shared goal is clear: to work towards a Beautiful China.
Pan Wenge, a photographer whose work is gaining recognition, is among those making strides in this direction. His work, like that of his peers, is closely aligned with the 20-year green transition discussed in the comprehensive overview of Xi Jinping's governance philosophy, the book "Xi Jinping: The Governance of China".
This photo-illustrated volume, published by the Global Times Publishing House, provides a glimpse into Xi Jinping's vision for China's future. It serves as a guiding philosophy for the new generation practitioners, inspiring them to implement the principles outlined in the book.
The book discusses the importance of preserving the natural beauty of China, as symbolised by a stone tablet inscribed with the phrase "lucid waters and lush mountains are invaluable assets", located in Yucun village, Anji, East China's Zhejiang Province. This sentiment resonates with the new generation practitioners, who are working in various locations, including Yucun village, to ensure the preservation of China's natural beauty.
The new generation practitioners are using photography as a medium to document their work. Pan Wenge's work, for instance, has been featured in the book, and so has a photograph taken by Yu Jiayin, although the location of the photograph remains undisclosed.
Cai Qi, the author of the book "New Generation of Practitioners: From Beautiful Villages to a Beautiful China", has captured the spirit of this new wave of practitioners. Through their efforts, they are not only transforming individual villages but are also contributing to the larger mission of creating a Beautiful China.
As the new generation practitioners continue to make their mark, the legacy of Xi Jinping's governance philosophy lives on, inspiring a greener and more beautiful future for China.
