Wine Country Changes Afforded: Restructuring of Vineyards in Rauenberg and Dielheim

In a significant development for the rural area of Rauenberg/Dielheim (Mannaberg/Baufel), a land consolidation project has been given the green light, thanks to a million euros in funding from both the state and federal governments.

The project, managed by the State Office for Geoinformation and Land Development (LGL), will be overseen by Carsten Wipfler, the chairman of the participant community for land consolidation in Rauenberg and Dielheim.

Minister of Food, Rural Affairs and Consumer Protection, Peter Hauk, announced the funding, which will be used to facilitate future-oriented and economically viable viticulture in the region. The aim is to preserve the unique cultural landscape, improve habitats for protected species, and network and enhance existing biotopes and landscape elements.

The measures planned include land planning, modernization of the agricultural road network, and a disentanglement of use through a land registry. The specific details or extent of the nature conservation measures have not been fully specified, but it is clear that they will focus on the improvement of habitats for strictly protected animal and plant species in the region.

The handover of the approval notice by Minister Hauk marks an important milestone, allowing the project to begin implementing the plans. Contact information for the Press Office and the Citizen's Representative of the Ministry of Food, Rural Affairs and Consumer Protection is available, as well as a contact form for reaching out to the ministry directly.

The land consolidation project in Rauenberg/Dielheim is expected to make a significant contribution to the region's sustainable development, ensuring a vibrant future for viticulture while preserving the area's rich cultural landscape and biodiversity.
