Win Free Entry to Borgata Poker Tournaments by Sharing Your Story

A new giveaway offers poker fans the chance to win free entry into two major tournaments at the Borgata Spring Poker Open. Four prize packages, each worth $1,100, will cover seats in the $600 Deepstack Kickoff and the $500 Borgata Almighty Stack. The competition kicks off on April 22 at the Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa in Atlantic City, New Jersey.

To enter, players must share their poker 'origin story' on Twitter before the April 10 deadline. The giveaway draws inspiration from the idea that every poker player has a unique backstory. Organisers encourage participants to recount how they first fell in love with the game. Entries will be reviewed by a panel of judges, including top professionals Darren Elias, Esther 'Etay' Taylor, and Michael Lavin, alongside a selection from the PokerOrg editorial team.

Winners will receive a combined entry into the $600 Deepstack Kickoff, which guarantees a $1 million prize pool, and the $500 Borgata Almighty Stack, with a $750,000 guarantee. Each of the four prize packages covers both tournament seats. Successful entrants will have just 48 hours to claim their reward after being notified.

The promotion follows growing interest in poker's personal narratives, highlighted recently when Kylie Jenner shared her own poker journey with Vanity Fair. The game's rise in the US traces back to the 1970 World Series of Poker, which began with just seven players at Binion's Horseshoe. Its popularity surged in the 2000s, thanks to TV innovations like the hole-card camera and Chris Moneymaker's 2003 WSOP victory, which brought in waves of new players. Online poker's expansion further cemented its status as a mainstream competitive sport.

To qualify, participants must follow and tag @PokerOrg and @BetMGMPoker on Twitter when sharing their story. Full terms and conditions apply, and the submission window closes at 11:59pm ET on April 10. The four winners will compete at the Borgata Spring Poker Open, starting April 22. Their packages include seats in two high-stakes events with guaranteed prize pools totalling $1.75 million. The giveaway highlights the enduring appeal of poker and the personal connections players have with the game.
