A range of cultural and educational events is coming to Willich this spring. From author readings and quizzes to creative workshops for children, the local library and community spaces will host activities for all ages. Registration is now open for several sessions, with deadlines approaching soon.
The Emmaus Library will kick off the season with a 1970s-themed quiz on Thursday, March 19. Titled Bell-Bottoms and Platform Soles, the free event starts at 7 p.m. and welcomes teams of up to five players. Registration is required through the library.
On Tuesday, March 24, crime writer Horst Eckert will present his latest novel, *The Intern*, at 7:30 p.m. in the same venue. Tickets cost €10, with concessions at €8, and can be booked online via VIBUS or at municipal ticket offices. Two days later, on Friday, March 27, Marcel Feldberg will discuss his book *Gone to Stay* at 7:30 p.m. in the BiB. This is the only confirmed event in the *Ecce Homo* series so far, with no further 2025 dates announced. For younger audiences, a *Coding for Kids: Robotics Workshop* runs on March 30-31 from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. daily. Aimed at 8- to 10-year-olds, the session costs €2, with sign-ups closing on March 24. Older children can join the *Simply Fantastic* creative writing workshop from April 7-11, 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. each day. The €5 course, for ages 10 to 14, includes a public reading on April 23. Registration ends on March 31. Finally, Sabrina Grobek will share her book *Paw Prints* on Tuesday, April 28, at 7 p.m. as part of the BiB Stage series.
The events cover literature, history, and technology, with options for both adults and children. Most activities require advance booking, and some have upcoming registration deadlines. Full details, including ticket links, are available through the Emmaus Library and BiB websites.
