Wheatstone Corp. Appoints Kelly Parker as Director of Product Development

Gary Snow, CEO of Wheatstone Corp., has announced the return of Kelly Parker to the company as the Director of Product Development. Parker, who previously held the position of Chief Financial Officer (CFO) at Wheatstone, will be based in the New Bern, North Carolina, factory.

Parker's extensive experience with Wheatstone's technology will be invaluable during a transformational period for broadcasting. He played a lead role in the development of Wheatstone's flagship products, the WheatNet IP audio network and the LXE console.

The WheatNet IP audio network, introduced by Wheatstone Corp. in early 2005, combined routing, control, and utility mixers into one intelligent input/output unit. This innovative approach revolutionised the broadcasting industry, setting a new standard for audio-over-IP systems. The LXE console, the first unit to use soft controls as a reconfigurable AoIP console surface, followed suit, further cementing Wheatstone's reputation for pioneering broadcasting technology.

During his 14-year tenure at Wheatstone Corp., from 2004 until his departure in 2019 to join Townsquare Media, Parker served as a systems engineer. It was during this period that he led the development of the WheatNet IP audio network, the first AoIP system by Wheatstone Corp., and the LXE console.

In his new role, Parker will direct development for Wheatstone Corp.'s audio-over-IP, streaming, virtualization, mic, on-air processing, and software server lines. His experience running a large number of radio stations at Townsquare Media will undoubtedly prove beneficial in adapting technology to industry changes.

Wheatstone Corp.'s centralized operations allow for quick design and testing of new product developments for broadcasters. This agility, combined with Parker's expertise, promises exciting advancements in the future of broadcasting technology.
