Wheatstone Announces Strategies for International Broadcasting Convention
Wheatstone Shines at NAB and IBC with Award-Winning Products
Wheatstone, a leading audio network solutions provider, has made a significant impact at both the spring NAB Show and the upcoming IBC 2025. The company's Neuron and Duo products have been honoured with "Best of Show" Awards at the NAB Show, and they are set to debut new offerings at IBC.
At the heart of Wheatstone's innovation is the Neuron FM/HD/DAB, a versatile audio processor that boasts a range of features designed for modern broadcasting. These include a multipath mitigator, SCAs and stereo generator, RBDS/RDS generator, and Wheatstone's baseband192. One of the standout aspects of the Neuron FM/HD/DAB is its ability to provide separate paths for FM and HD/DAB+, ensuring optimal audio quality in various transmission formats.
In addition to the Neuron, Wheatstone is also introducing the Duo, a streaming appliance that offers the reliability of a Linux appliance at a cost similar to an equivalent PC. The Duo is capable of provisioning, processing, and managing the metadata of two input channels, delivering four outputs each.
Wheatstone's commitment to innovation extends beyond hardware. The company's Navigator 5.0 software, designed to manage the WheatNet IP distributed AoIP network of devices and virtual interfaces, offers a host of new features. These include network I/O diagnostics, failover management, and automatic system backup capabilities. The software also includes tools for setting up crosspoints, logic signals, AES67 paths, salvos, and SNMP alerting across the network.
Navigator 5.0's latest iteration also includes extended logic status for third-party devices, further enhancing the software's versatility and compatibility. The Linux OS, upon which Navigator 5.0 is built, is renowned for its stability as an open-source operating system, offering a level of security often absent in Windows-based systems.
At IBC 2025, Wheatstone will showcase its latest Navigator AoIP software, highlighting its new network diagnostics, failover management, and automatic system backup capabilities. The company's exhibit can be found at Stand 8.A56.
In an exciting development, the Neuron FM/HD/DAB will make its debut at IBC, offering "the big sound and features of a top-line processor at half the price." This spectral audio processor is set to redefine expectations in the broadcasting industry.
Wheatstone's products and software are designed to meet the needs of today's evolving studio operations, offering a blend of functionality, reliability, and affordability that is hard to match. Whether you're a broadcaster looking to upgrade your hardware or a studio aiming to streamline your operations, Wheatstone's solutions are worth a close look.
