Western Alliance Agreement for the Region of Western Balkans
The German Foreign Office has announced a new funding opportunity for projects focused on rule of law, democracy, and human rights in Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kosovo, North Macedonia, Montenegro, and Serbia.
The contact for application submission is [email protected] and [email protected]. Applications should be submitted at least three months before the planned start date.
The funding prioritizes empowering Roma in societies and combating anti-Gypsyism, promoting women in WEB countries, and empowering socio-economic minorities. Support for anti-corruption measures, combating money laundering, and organized crime is also a key focus. However, it's important to note that funding is not related to conflict prevention, stabilization, and peace promotion.
Organizations or projects subject to the prohibition of double funding, or those that do not meet specific regional budget criteria, will be excluded from funding. The Saxon program "Weltoffenes Sachsen fΓΌr Demokratie und Toleranz" sets clear regional budget limits, and projects must adhere to application and thematic restrictions to qualify for support.
There are no specific restrictions for who can be funded. Whenever possible, own and/or third-party funds should be included in the funding form and type. The maximum funding period for projects is three years.
The funding guideline or concept for the promotion of professionalization and exchange between German and WEB actors in the rule of law has a defined duration. It's a great opportunity for organisations to collaborate and make a positive impact in these regions.
For more information and to apply, please contact the specified email addresses provided.
