The use of weighted vests is particularly popular among women in menopause. Monica Christmas, an OB-GYN in Chicago, recommends weight-bearing exercises for this demographic. However, Nanette Santoro, another OB-GYN in Colorado, expresses suspicion towards people making money off claims to help women in menopause.

Influencers on social media claim that wearing a weighted vest can provide numerous health benefits, such as improved posture, increased calorie burn, and enhanced muscle and bone growth. However, these claims are not yet supported by substantial scientific evidence.
