Weather Deity Threatens Peace at Light Celebration
Despite the gloomy weather, the 19th Lichterfest in Enzauenpark was a resounding success. Dark rain clouds gathered over Pforzheim, but this did little to dampen the spirits of the residents who braved the elements to attend the event. The setup for the fireworks began a day before the event, with many racks for firing fireworks needing to be assembled and ignition lines laid. It takes 90% of the fireworks to be ready by the day before the event to ensure a smooth and safe show.
