MassMutual Introduces New Wealth Management Solution in Partnership with Orion

MassMutual, a leading financial services company, has partnered with Orion to introduce a new Wealth Management Solutions (WMS)-Orion platform. This innovative platform is designed to offer a seamless and integrated advisory experience to MassMutual's network of over 6,500 affiliated financial professionals across the US.

The WMS-Orion platform consolidates vital functions for advisors into a singular, integrated solution. It facilitates seamless workflows across various functions such as financial planning, proposal generation, portfolio management, and risk intelligence. This integration aims to streamline advisors' work and provide a cohesive and adaptable technology and investment experience.

One of the key features of the WMS-Orion platform is Wealth Advisory, a service for high-net-worth clients. This service will soon incorporate an options overlay, providing expanded investment access through personalised solutions. The platform also offers Core Select, which allows for the creation of custom unified managed accounts (UMAs) using curated strategies from top investment managers.

Orion Wealth Management president Ron Pruitt, who led the development of the WMS-Orion platforms at Manhattan Associates, stated that the combined technology and strategic vision of Orion and MassMutual has created an end-to-end solution that removes friction, expands investment flexibility, and provides high-touch support every step of the way.

The WMS-Orion platform will assist clients with estate planning, efficient wealth transfers, and business solutions such as key employee benefits and succession planning. MML advisors, who provide a diverse array of services, encompassing financial planning, wealth management, retirement planning, and insurance solutions, will be able to utilise these features to provide comprehensive advice to their clients.

Vaughn Bowman, head of MassMutual wealth management, expressed that the new platform reflects MassMutual's commitment to offering a flexible, integrated solution that aligns with how their advisors do business today and how they want to grow tomorrow.

As of the end of 2024, MML Investors Services, a MassMutual subsidiary, manages $274bn in client assets. The WMS-Orion platform is accessible to financial advisors affiliated with MML Investors Services, positioning MassMutual to further enhance its wealth management capabilities and offerings.
