Waupaca Foundry reshapes sales team to drive growth and customer focus

Waupaca Foundry, North America's top supplier of iron castings, has restructured its sales team to boost growth and customer service. The company has split its sales division into two new segments and filled three key leadership roles. These changes took effect immediately.

The new structure divides sales into Off-Highway and Consumer, Industrial & Government segments. Scott Seckel, with 17 years at the company, will now lead the Off-Highway team. Danielle Smith, who has 19 years of experience in expanding customer bases, takes charge of the Consumer, Industrial & Government segment.

A new Sales Operations Director position has also been created to streamline processes and improve efficiency. Denise Korbol joins in this role, bringing expertise in CRM systems and margin expansion strategies.

Waupaca Foundry operates five iron foundries across the US, including plants in Tell City (Indiana), Etowah (Tennessee), and Mountain Home (Arkansas). The company specialises in gray, ductile, and austempered ductile iron castings, alongside precision machining and assembly. It employs around 3,500 people and serves markets like automotive, agriculture, and construction.

CEO Mike Hawthorne explained that these moves aim to strengthen service for current customers while opening doors to new markets. The changes reflect the company's focus on innovation and operational excellence.

The restructured sales team will now target growth in both existing and emerging sectors. Waupaca Foundry's leadership adjustments come as the company continues to expand its reach in iron casting supply. The new roles are designed to enhance efficiency and customer relationships across all divisions.
