Watercolor and construction kit brought joy to sick children on New Year's in Seversky District
A heartwarming campaign is bringing holiday cheer to sick children this New Year’s Eve. The 'Kindness Fir Tree' initiative, launched by Russian journalist Aljona Wartanowa, invites locals to grant wishes for young patients. Among the recipients are children like 11-year-old Alisa Padalka, who received a gift tailored to her talents despite her hearing loss.
The campaign operates through a simple online system. Visitors to the website select a bullfinch-themed card, each listing a child’s New Year’s wish. One of the children helped was Kirill Grazhdankin, a boy with a speech development delay, who received a construction set.
Alisa Padalka, a gifted 11-year-old with hearing loss, was among those whose wishes came true. She received a set of watercolours, reflecting her passion for painting. Beyond art, Alisa excels in piano, English, dancing, and singing, and her artwork has already earned awards in multiple competitions. The initiative aims to brighten the holidays for children facing serious illnesses. By connecting donors with specific wishes, it ensures each child receives something meaningful.
The 'Kindness Fir Tree' campaign has made a tangible difference this festive season. Children like Alisa and Kirill now have gifts that match their interests and needs. The effort, driven by community support, continues to spread joy during a challenging time.
