Waste management company led by Steven Siegal set to recycle trash in Russia

In the Moscow region of Russia, a new recycling company named "Hakiri" has been established with a mission to address the country's waste management issues. Founded by Hollywood action star Steven Seagal, his son Dominic, and Mikhail Zamarov, the company also has a presence in Saint Petersburg and the Leningrad Oblast.

According to Mikhail Zamarov, the co-founder of "Hakiri" and the founder of Zamarin Group, the primary objective of the company is to implement ecological projects related to waste disposal within the framework of the national project "Ecology". The main focus of "Hakiri" is on plastic waste recycling.

Zamarov emphasised that the key indicator for "Hakiri" is to halve the volume of waste sent to landfills. To achieve this goal, a large-scale infrastructure for sorting and recycling waste needs to be created. In line with this, "Hakiri" plans to develop infrastructure for recycling "dirty" plastic.

The company aims to contribute to the target indicators of the national project "Ecology" by 2030. Steven Seagal and his son Dominic each own 34% and 33% of the shares in "Hakiri", respectively.

With approximately 70 million tons of waste generated annually in Russia, the need for effective waste management solutions is evident. The formation of "Hakiri" marks another business venture for Steven Seagal in Russia, as reported by "Live Kuban".

Zamarov announced the company's formation on August 26. The company's efforts are expected to play a significant role in reducing the amount of waste sent to landfills and promoting a cleaner, greener Russia.
