Warrants for multiple arrests carried out at Cologne Bonn Airport over the weekend by BPOL NRW (Federal police of North Rhine-Westphalia)
In a series of events at Cologne Bonn Airport over the weekend, the Federal Police executed four arrest warrants. The individuals wanted in these warrants, a 50-year-old Turkish man, a 40-year-old Serbian, and two unnamed individuals of German and Moldovan nationality, were either arrested or prevented from departing.
The 50-year-old Turkish man, whose identity remains undisclosed due to the ongoing investigation, was stopped during his entry from Istanbul. It was discovered that he had given a false address to evade probation supervision and had traveled abroad, posing a risk of flight. The preventive detention warrant for him was issued by the Public Prosecutor's Office in Nuremberg-FΓΌrth.
Meanwhile, the 40-year-old Serbian was arrested on August 8, 2025, for forgery, as per an arrest warrant issued by the Public Prosecutor's Office in Kiel. The Moldovan citizen, also wanted, was stopped before his departure to Chisinau on Sunday. Both individuals were able to avoid imprisonment by paying the required substitute fines.
A 38-year-old German was stopped at the airport on an unspecified date. He was asked to pay a fine of 507 EUR for driving without a license, as demanded by the Public Prosecutor's Office in Koblenz. His driver's license had been revoked by the Bonn Road Traffic Office, and he chose to pay the fine instead of serving four days in prison.
Three of the individuals wanted in the arrest warrants were traveling to Antalya. The Federal Police Inspectorate Airport Cologne Bonn can provide further information about these incidents.
It is important to note that these incidents underscore the ongoing efforts of the Federal Police to ensure the safety and security of travelers at Cologne Bonn Airport. The public is encouraged to comply with all legal requirements when traveling to avoid any unnecessary complications.
