Vuelta 2025 to Showcase the Early Battles Among the Protagonists for the General Classification in Piamonte

The Vuelta a España, one of the three Grand Tours in professional cycling, is set to depart from the northern part of Italy for the first time in its history. The 2025 edition will feature an unprecedented start in the Piedmont region, marking a significant milestone for the prestigious race.

The concept of a 'one-climb' stage will be introduced in the second stage, offering an intriguing twist to the race. The stage will be largely flat until reaching a summit, with the ascent to Limone Piemonte serving as the climax. This stage could potentially see the first victory and the red jersey of the Vuelta a España awarded.

The third stage, a short 135-kilometer ride, will include a second category climb and a final with a fourth category climb. The third stage finish will provide an opportunity for cyclists who excel in uphill finishes, making it a crucial stage in the race. Notable contenders for this stage include Ivan Garcia Cortina and Fernando Barcelo.

The reduced number of flat stages means there are fewer opportunities for sprinters. However, one of the flat stages will finish in Novara, and it will be interesting to see who emerges as the king of speed in the Vuelta a España. This year's mass arrival in Novara will determine the first leader of the general classification.

The Vuelta a España 2025 will not reach Spain until the fifth stage. The stage will feature a time trial with a finish in Figueres, providing a unique challenge for the participants.

The fourth stage will start in Italy but end in France, in the city of Voiron. The mountainous route of the Vuelta a España 2025 ensures a tough and exciting race, with Superga, a significant peak in Turin, watching the race from afar.

Guillen, the person responsible for transferring the concept of a "single-climb" stage from the Vuelta a España to Italy, is orchestrating this Italian adventure. The Vuelta a España 2025 promises to be a thrilling event, offering a fresh perspective while retaining the traditional Grand Tour challenge.
