Volkswagen T-Roc undergoes a redesign, with changes to its aesthetic and included features
Volkswagen Unveils Updated T-Roc with Enhanced Aerodynamics and Modern Design
Volkswagen has revealed the updated version of its popular compact SUV, the T-Roc. The new model boasts improvements in aerodynamics, a modernised design, and a host of new features aimed at enhancing comfort and style.
The bodywork of the updated T-Roc has been slightly reshaped to improve its aerodynamics. A subtle skid plate is another design update on the front profile, while the headlamps have been redesigned with a sleeker look and are connected by a full-width LED strip. At the rear, the T-Roc now sports a revamped LED taillight design connected by a sleek light bar.
The cabin of the updated T-Roc features high-quality materials and perforated leatherette surfaces, providing a luxurious feel. The interior dashboard has been updated with a fabric finish, adding to the modern aesthetic. The Volkswagen T-Roc's cabin now houses a Harman Kardon audio system, ensuring an immersive audio experience for passengers.
The T-Roc's engines are mated to a seven-speed DSG automatic transmission and have a 48V system that can temporarily provide an additional 18 bhp of power. The base engine of the T-Roc produces 112 bhp power and 220 Nm torque, while the more powerful variant churns out 145 bhp power and 250 Nm torque.
The T-Roc's drives are developed and supplied by Volkswagen itself, featuring engines such as the 1.5-liter TSI and hybrid modules developed within the Volkswagen Group. The vehicle is produced at Volkswagen Autoeuropa and FAW-Volkswagen, but the specific drivetrain technology remains proprietary to Volkswagen.
The updated T-Roc runs on 20-inch alloy wheels and has two mild-hybrid variants of the 1.5-litre eTSI engine. The wheelbase of the updated T-Roc has increased by 28 mm to 2,631 mm, providing more space in the cabin.
Dimensionally, the updated T-Roc is now 4,373 mm in length, 122 mm longer than its previous version. Despite the growth in size, the updated T-Roc remains slightly smaller than the Volkswagen Tiguan. The updated T-Roc retains its predecessor's stance but has a more contemporary front fascia, featuring an illuminated brand logo and sporty bumper intakes.
The T-Roc's seating is another area of improvement. The vehicle is equipped with a 14-way electrically adjustable seat with a massaging function, ensuring a comfortable ride for all passengers.
In summary, the updated Volkswagen T-Roc offers a blend of modern design, improved aerodynamics, and enhanced comfort features. With its high-quality materials, advanced technology, and sleek new look, the T-Roc is poised to maintain its popularity in the compact SUV market.
