Two Greek basketball fan groups engaged in a confrontation at Berlin's Prenzlauer Allee S-Bahn station, resulting in twelve individuals sustaining injuries, including two with life-threatening conditions, on Saturday night.

There was a scuffle between some individuals that led to using baseball bats and batons, as stated by the police's spokesperson this Sunday morning.

The authorities stepped in to part the opposing parties and encircled approximately 70 spectators. Following the incident, the fire department aided the police in treating the wounded, who had arrived with a team of 44 individuals. 11 of the injured were taken to nearby hospitals, and one person refused to be transported.

The dispute was between supporters of the basketball clubs from Athens and Piraeus, as per a spokeswoman from the emergency services. The aforementioned teams are scheduled to compete in the Euroleague's Final Four this weekend in Berlin.

Shortly after the aforementioned altercation, there was a fight in the Mercure Hotel of Siemensstadt in the district of Berlin. Preliminary investigations suggest that a smoke bomb was thrown during the brawl, in turn, triggering the fire alarm. Approximately 50 fans from Athens and Piraeus are believed to have been involved in this fight.
