Ratzer Records & Beer Reopens in Stuttgart-Süd

After weeks of preparation, Ratzer Records, a beloved record store in Stuttgart, has reopened its doors under new ownership. The store, now known as Ratzer Records & Beer, is located at Hauptstätter Straße 154 in Stuttgart-Süd.

The interior of the store has undergone a transformation, featuring a disco ball, hanging plants, pictures on the walls, a cozy red sofa, and a counter for shop talk. The new concept combines records with a variety of local beers and alcohol-free options, aiming to be more than just a store, but a meeting place for music lovers.

Arnulf Woock and Stéphane Clerc, the new owners of Ratzer Records & Beer, are no strangers to the store. They were loyal customers for years, and Clerc's partner expressed relief that the store is finally open.

Many regular customers have been eagerly awaiting the reopening of the store. Andreas Kolbai, a former regular customer from Paulinenstraße, expressed his appreciation for the new store on the first day. Holger Vogt, a long-time customer since Ratzer Records' early days at the castle square, praised the new setup and the owners' dedication.

The store sells a wide variety of new records, including soul, jazz, metal, and electro, with prices ranging from 20 to 30 euros. Holger Vogt noticed that Clerc's record recommendations have become more sales-focused in the new store.

The official opening of the store took place today with champagne and cake. Ratzer Records & Beer also announced that there will be readings and small concerts at the store, with the first event scheduled for September 26.

The store's new opening hours are Thursday 4-8 PM, Friday 11 AM-10 PM, and Saturday 11 AM-8 PM. Agnes, Clerc's partner, expressed her hope that the store will continue to be a beloved part of the community for years to come.

With its unique concept, friendly atmosphere, and dedication to music, Ratzer Records & Beer is poised to become a staple of the Stuttgart music scene.
