VIMA Art Fair 2026 Unites Eastern Mediterranean Contemporary Art in Limassol

The second edition of VIMA Art Fair is set to take place in Limassol, Cyprus, with a focus on contemporary art from the Eastern Mediterranean. A new group exhibition and live programme, titled The Waves Crashing, will run at The Warehouse by IT Quarter, featuring film, performances, and discussions.

Curated by Kostas Stasinopoulos, the project will showcase works by artists including Stelios Kallinikou, Chrysanthi Koumianaki, and Christos Kyriakides. As of 16 March 2026, no further participants have been confirmed for the event.

The fair aims to build a stronger platform for regional contemporary art, with around 30 galleries expected to take part. Alongside the exhibition, VIMA has introduced *VIMA CIRCLE*, a paid membership initiative designed to foster cultural connections across Cyprus and the wider Mediterranean. Support for the fair comes from Mellow.io as the Premium Partner and philanthropist Pavel Shynkarenko's newly established foundation, Syno. Additionally, a regular newsletter has been launched to highlight relevant events in Cyprus, its diaspora, and beyond.

The 2026 edition of VIMA Art Fair will bring together artists, galleries, and cultural initiatives under one programme. With backing from key partners and a curated selection of works, the event seeks to strengthen ties within the Eastern Mediterranean's contemporary art scene.
