Vietnam's First Unicorn-Lion-Dragon Dance Art Museum Opens in Đà Nẵng
A new cultural landmark is set to open in Đà Nẵng today, dedicated to Vietnam's traditional unicorn, lion, and dragon dances. The Unicorn-Lion-Dragon Dance Art Museum promises a cultural journey through the distinct performances of Vietnam's three regions, contributing to the preservation and promotion of folk heritage.
Spanning nearly 1,500 square meters, the museum is the first of its kind in Vietnam. It aims to showcase these traditional dances to both domestic and international visitors. The displays are crafted by Lê Hồng, head of the Unicorn-Lion-Dragon Dance troupe of the Bảy Bà Temple in An Giang Province. Visitors can expect interactive activities such as mask painting and exploring contemporary cultural exhibitions.
To mark the Mid-Autumn Festival, Sun World Bà Nà Hills is hosting a series of festive activities. These include traditional desserts and lantern decorations, adding to the symbolic significance of the museum's inauguration during this time. Additionally, numerous charity programmes are taking place to support children, particularly those from disadvantaged backgrounds and remote areas.
The Unicorn-Lion-Dragon Dance Art Museum opens today at Hội An Station 2 in Đà Nẵng. With its interactive exhibits and cultural significance, it is set to become a new landmark, contributing to the preservation and promotion of Vietnam's folk heritage.
