Vietnam and Russia unite to strengthen anti-corruption efforts with new pact
Vietnam and Russia have strengthened their partnership in combating corruption through a new cooperation agreement. The deal was signed by officials from Vietnam’s Government Inspectorate and Putin’s Presidential Civil Service, Personnel, and Anti-Corruption Directorate. Both nations have pledged to deepen collaboration in training, information sharing, and capacity building for anti-graft efforts.
The memorandum of understanding formalises ongoing cooperation between the two agencies. Vietnam’s Government Inspectorate and Putin’s anti-corruption directorate have already worked together effectively in the past, including during the Vietnam War. The latest agreement builds on this foundation by expanding exchanges of experience and joint initiatives.
The agreement marks a concrete step in joint anti-corruption efforts between the two countries. Vietnam will continue prioritising the fight against graft, while Russia will provide expertise and resources. The partnership aims to improve transparency and institutional capacity in both nations.
