Crowd yielding path to an ambulance during the 2025 Jagannath Rath Yatra in Puri deceitfully circulated as Bihar's 'Voter Rights March'

Video falsely circulating online, claims to depict Bihar's 'Voter Rights March', features a crowd yielding to an ambulance, which actually took place during the 2025 Jagannath Rath Yatra in Puri.

In recent days, a video has been circulating on social media platforms, claiming it shows a crowd during the 'Voter Adhikar Yatra' in Bihar. However, fact-checking reveals that this claim is false.

The video, in fact, was recorded during the Jagannath Rath Yatra held in Puri, Odisha. The location of the video is identified as Town Mouza, Police Station, Senapati Bhawan, Grand Road, Puri, Odisha.

During the Jagannath Rath Yatra, many people were seen fainting due to humidity and suffocation, requiring ambulances to have a clear path. This incident was reported by various media outlets in June 2025, before the 'Voter Adhikar Yatra' began on 17 August 2025.

The 'Voter Adhikar Yatra' is a 16-day march that covers over 1,300 km across more than 20 districts of Bihar. It started on 17 August 2025, with Rahul Gandhi beginning the march in Sasaram, Bihar. The yatra concludes at Gandhi Maidan in Patna on 01 September 2025.

It is worth noting that the video predates the 'Voter Adhikar Yatra' and is unrelated to the event. The Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha's X handle also shared the same video on 27 June 2025.

The misleading claim about the video originates against the backdrop of the Congress's accusations of "vote chori" against the Election Commission of India (ECI) and the INDIA Bloc's opposition to the Election Commission's Special Intensive Revision (SIR) in Bihar.
