Robbery in Wedding: Suspect Sought

A robbery took place in the Wedding district of Berlin, Germany, early this morning. At approximately 2:10 AM local time, a 42-year-old man was seriously injured and his red, collapsible shopping cart was stolen on Müllerstraße.

According to the police, the incident occurred on a park bench. The victim was taken to a hospital for treatment, and his condition is currently stable but he is expected to undergo surgery.

The suspect, described as a man wearing a black hoodie and jeans, fled the scene on foot in an easterly direction. The police have released a sketch based on witness descriptions. The shopping cart was recovered by the police later that night in a nearby alley.

The police are urging anyone with information about the suspect or the robbery to come forward. They have increased patrols in the Wedding area following the incident and the investigation is being handled by a specialized unit from the Police Directorate 1 (North).

At this time, the motive for the robbery is unknown. The suspect remains at large. The police are appealing for the public's help in finding the suspect and ask that anyone with information contact the authorities.
