Vibrant Summer, Echoes of Music and Celestial Canopy

The cultural team of the city portal has announced an exciting lineup for the Detmold Summer Stage, set to take place from July 31st to August 2nd, 2025, on Detmold Market Square.

Kicking off the weekend on July 31st, German trio KNUD Trio will perform at 6:30 PM, followed by the frontman of Hans im Glück, Georg N. Schmitt, at 8:30 PM. Hans im Glück, a Detmold-based band, blends hip-hop with jazz, funk, and urban lyricism, promising a captivating performance.

On the same day, M. Byrd, a German musician known for his music inspired by American road movie soundtracks and indie greats like The War on Drugs or Phoebe Bridgers, will take the stage at 8:30 PM.

The weekend continues on August 1st with Mina Richman, a German-Iranian musician, performing at 8:30 PM. Mina Richman's debut EP "Jaywalker" earned her a nomination for Best Newcomer at the PopNRW Awards.

Later in the evening, at 10:00 PM, Da Cruz will perform. Da Cruz's music is a fusion of Bossa Nova, Afrobeat, and electronic club aesthetics, offering a unique blend of warm, soulful vocals, driving breakbeats, hypnotic loops, and a dense, often dark atmosphere.

Unfortunately, no specific artists are listed for performances on August 1st. However, the closest related event is Still Collins performing on August 1 at the Theaterscheine Knechtsteden, but this is in Dormagen, not Detmold. Gallowstreet, an eight-piece brass band from Amsterdam, will close the festival on August 2nd.
