Vibrant Eyeball Mural Workshop at Arnsberg Station

In the heart of Arnsberg, a unique project has been unveiled, transforming a simple WC container into a striking piece of public art. The container, designed with local landmarks, has become a real eye-catcher, thanks to a collaboration between the family office, the local youth fire brigade, and the Arnsberg Fire History e.V.

The project, supported by the city's cultural office, the Sprühduo from Soest, and the Kulturbüro of Arnsberg, saw members of the Arnsberg Feuerwehr Historie e.V. providing catering during the workshop. The mayor of Arnsberg, Ralf Paul Bittner, also showed his support by visiting the workshop.

The design, inspired by the style and color scheme of the artwork at the museum "Brennpunkt," covers a vast 32 x 4 meter wall area. The image, related to the fire department and Arnsberg, will soon greet train passengers as they arrive at the station.

The workshops, guided by the Sprühduo, took place over recent weeks. Participants, consisting of members of the youth fire brigade and other interested parties, had the opportunity to learn from the experts and create their own artworks on paper and canvas to take home.

As a highlight, a guided tour of the hands-on museum "Brennpunkt" was provided. The initial design was on the outer wall of this museum, facing the tracks.

All involved are proud of their work and hope that both artworks will be preserved for a long time. The mayor, Mr. Bittner, stated that the artwork would be a great enhancement for the train station area.

This project is just one part of the family office's vacation programme, which includes two graffiti workshops near the Arnsberg train station. Both projects were made possible with funding from the cultural office of the city of Arnsberg.

The workshops culminated in a smaller event, focusing on the WC container next to the train station. On the last workshop day, the mayor visited to admire the (not yet completely finished) artwork.

Participants could experience fire history up close and personal during the guided tour. This interactive aspect, combined with the vibrant new artwork, promises to breathe new life into the Arnsberg train station area.
