Vibrant Eye-Themed Graffiti Workshop at Arnsberg Station

In the heart of Arnsberg, a vibrant transformation is underway, thanks to a series of graffiti workshops funded by the city's cultural office and a family office's holiday program.

The workshops, guided by the graffiti artists from "Sprühduo" from Soest, attracted six participants, including members of the local youth fire brigade and other interested parties. One project focused on the WC container next to the station, while another breathed new life into the blue and defaced cube at the museum.

The WC container project, with its style and colour scheme, is a recognisable extension of the artwork at the museum. Both projects have become optical enhancements for the station area, promising a future greeting for anyone arriving by train.

The museum artwork, still not completely finished, was visited by the mayor of Arnsberg, Ralf Paul Bittner, who expressed his admiration for the work in progress. Bittner stated that the artwork would be an enhancement for the station area, serving as a welcoming sight for visitors.

The workshops also provided a unique experience for the participants, who had the opportunity to spray artworks on paper and canvas to take home. The Arnsberg Fire History Association, a collaborator on the project, even offered a warm lunch to the participants, graffiti artists, and supervisors during the workshop.

The program also included a tour in "Brennpunkt", a hands-on museum where participants could experience fire history up close and personal. All involved parties are proud of their work and hope that the two artworks will be preserved for a long time.

With these vibrant additions, the Arnsberg train station area is now a testament to the power of collaboration and creativity, offering a colourful and engaging welcome to all who pass through.
