Vehicle collision results in minor injuries for the driver involved
On Tuesday evening, May 27, a single-vehicle accident involving a Tesla occurred on Neuen Weg towards Holzstraße in Frechen-Benzelrath.
The incident took place around 7:30 PM, and the emergency services closed the accident site for the duration of the investigation and towing, until around 9:15 PM. The Tesla ended up in bushes on the driver's side of the road, having veered off to the right in a curve on a rain-wet road.
The focus of the investigation is the 23-year-old driver of the Tesla, who was slightly injured in the accident. Rescue services attended to the driver and took him to a hospital for treatment.
The traffic commissioners have initiated investigations into the cause of the accident. Called police officers documented the scene and filed a traffic accident report. A towing company removed the Tesla from the site afterwards.
