Vehicle accident on K37 highway claims life of Polish driver
On Saturday, September 6, at 09:40 AM, a tragic single-vehicle accident occurred on the K37 in Borchen-Alfen. According to the Paderborn Police, a 67-year-old driver of an Audi Q2 veered off the road for unknown reasons and collided head-on with a tree.
The impact of the collision resulted in the vehicle catching fire immediately. Despite the efforts of witnesses who tried to open doors and extinguish the fire, they were unsuccessful. Sadly, the driver was pronounced dead at the scene.
The accident caused the closure of the K37 for several hours due to the investigation and cleanup. The Borchen fire department eventually managed to extinguish the fire.
