Vegas Golden Knights Foundation launches student-grown Farmers Market for sustainability
The Vegas Golden Knights Foundation is set to host a Farmers Market on March 28, 2026, at Lee's Family Forum. Running from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. PT, the event will showcase fresh produce grown by students from 19 Las Vegas schools. All proceeds from produce sales will support school sustainability programs, with the foundation matching funds up to $20,000.
The market is part of a partnership with Garden Farms of Nevada, an organisation that helps communities grow their own food. Students from participating schools have cultivated the produce on display, linking education with hands-on sustainability efforts.
Members of the Vegas Golden Knights organisation will attend the event. This includes player Alec Martinez, along with representatives from the Henderson Silver Knights and Vegas Knight Hawks. Team mascots, cast members, and the Knight Line will also perform and interact with visitors throughout the day. A portion of the proceeds from the March 17 jersey auction will further support Garden Farms of Nevada's initiatives. The foundation's contribution ensures that every dollar spent on produce will double in impact, directly benefiting school programs.
The event aims to boost local sustainability while engaging the community. With matched funding and high-profile appearances, the market will provide both fresh produce and financial support for schools. Organisers expect strong participation from students, families, and hockey fans alike.
