Dark clouds of smoke rose from the A2 close to Hanover in the afternoon. A van was ablaze.
A call to the fire department was made shortly after 3 p.m., and they rushed to the Vahrenheide highway parking lot, where a van was burning fiercely.
Thankfully, the firefighters managed to keep the flames from spreading to nearby bushes. It took them around 20 minutes to put out the fire. Fortunately, no one was hurt during this incident.
The cause of the fire remains unknown.
