Ust-Labinsk Transforms Into a Year-Round Cossack Cultural Hub

Ust-Labinsk has emerged as a burgeoning tourist destination, driven by its abundant Cossack heritage and cultural happenings. The town's annual Alexandrovskaya Fortress Cossack Culture Festival, inaugurated in 2013, now draws in thousands of visitors each year. Recent endeavors strive to transform the area into a year-round attraction under the brand Land of the Cossacks.

The festival was initiated by the Volnoye Delo Foundation in 2013. By 2025, it had attracted 15,000 attendees, metamorphosing Ust-Labinsk into a vibrant cultural center. Visitors are treated to open-air spectacles, folk music, and traditional Cossack rituals.

Ust-Labinsk's concentration on Cossack culture and expanded infrastructure aims to entice visitors throughout the year. The festival's triumph, new attractions, and enhanced facilities establish the town as a unique tourist brand in southern Russia. Further growth is anticipated as more projects reach completion.
