Outdoor Bath Season Draws to a Close, Except for Ringallee
The summer season at the outdoor baths in Gießen, Germany, is drawing to a close, with the exception of the Ringallee bath. The Ringallee bath is set to remain open until mid-September, providing a refreshing respite for bathers even as the other outdoor baths in Kleinlinden and Lützellinden close on 31 August.
The summer holidays and the changeable weather during this period have had an impact on visitor numbers to the outdoor baths. July, in particular, was rainy and fell short of expectations in terms of visitor numbers. Despite these challenges, the outdoor baths managed to attract approximately 22,000 bathers in the 91 days they were open.
Sonja Krausmüller, the swimming master of the outdoor baths in Kleinlinden, Lützellinden, and Ringallee, announced that the Ringallee bath will close for the season. She will inform bathers in advance of the exact closing date, which will be communicated through press and the website. The closing date for the Ringallee bath is not expected to be affected by the summer holidays or weather conditions.
The outdoor baths in Kleinlinden and Lützellinden, which are owned by Stadtwerke Gießen AG, were used for swimming, cooling off, and enjoying the sun. Sonja Krausmüller expressed her gratitude to the bathers for their support during the season.
